Sustainability
Our ethical values
Olearia Clemente Srl is fully aware of contributing with its work and with a sense of responsibility and moral integrity to the growth and development of sustainable olive oil production, and, therefore, has identified in the Policy for SA8000 and in the Company Code of Ethics the ethical values and behavioral principles, which guide the conduct of all those who act in the name or on behalf and in the interest of the Company.
The change we want to achieve presupposes the full involvement of all our stakeholders (employees, customers, suppliers, management bodies, NGOs, etc.) as they represent a factor of fundamental importance for the strategic development of Olearia Clemente and the territory.
For this reason, starting from 2023, with a view to promoting the spread of the culture of sustainability, we have decided to extend the existing management system to aspects of social responsibility in compliance with the international standard SA8000.
The globally recognized SA8000 standard was created with the aim of ensuring optimal working conditions and focuses on the following aspects: sustainable olive oil production, health and safety of personnel, respect for freedom of association, trade union rights, the right to collective bargaining, employment contracts, combating child labor, forced and compulsory labor, combating discrimination and unauthorized disciplinary practices.
The path to SA8000 certification requires a collective commitment and collaboration from everyone to ensure sustainable olive oil production. To this end, we invite all stakeholders to participate actively, sharing ideas and feedback that can contribute to the continuous improvement of our business practices.
